UL, Underwriters Laboratories, is a third-party certification organization. They certify products with the aim to make the world as safer place for both workers and consumers.  UL sets standards for different product categories and tests products to make sure they meet the standards.

UL 325 is a safety standard for door, drapery, gate, louver, and window operators and systems.
